Online registration for 2013 is now available.  Please note that advance registration will be required for both short and long courses this year. The last day to register is July 19th without a late fee, or July 31 with a late fee.  Registrations received after July 31 will not be accepted.

DIVISIONS

Long Course Singles Race: Men:  Junior under age 19; Open Men 19-39; Master Men 40-49; Senior Master Men 50-59; Golden Master Men 60+.  Women:  Open (no age divisions 19+)
Short Course Singles Race Men:  Junior Men under age 19; Open Men 19-39; Master Men 40-49; Senior Master Men 50-59; Golden Master Men 60+.  Women:  Open (no age divisions 19+)
Double Surfski Race: Men, Women and Mixed (no age divisions)

Ages for divisions are determined by age on August 3, 2013.

2013 RACE FEES (no change from 2012)
Registration Fees (entries received by July 19):
$120 – Single Surfski Event only
$120 – Double Surfski Event only (per paddler)
$160 – Single and Double Event

Entries received after July 19. No registrations accepted after July 31.
$140 – Single Surfski Event only
$140 – Double Surfski Event only (per paddler)
$180 – Single and Double Event
Registration fees are non-refundable.

Entry fees include a racing jersey for the first 100 registrants. All participants will receive a pre-race dinner on Friday night, and a post-race meal after their races. Friends and family can purchase a meal ticket for $10 for Saturday’s dinner (children under 12 are free). They are invited to attend the Friday evening and Sunday post-race meals free of charge. We will provide a complimentary bus shuttle to transport racers from BIAC to the race starts for both courses on Saturday.  Make your reservation when you register.  There is no shuttle provided for the Sunday’s double race.

EARLY CHECK-IN AND RECEPTION
Early check-in to pick up race numbers and a pre-race reception for all racers, guests, and volunteers will be held on the Friday evening before the race from 4:00 to 6:30 pm at the Bair Island Aquatic Center (BIAC), Redwood City,  following demo day. This is an important event to attend as we will hand out race numbers, and will review the courses and confirm shuttle and boat transportation. We will be loading any boats for transport Friday evening. . Here are driving directions to BIAC.

HOW TO REGISTER

You may register online or by completing the mail-in registration form. Payment may be made through Paypal, or by personal check to “Wavechaser”. The last day to register is July 31 (or by July 19 to avoid the late fee).  Registrations will NOT be accepted after July 31. International racers may pay via Paypal or in-person but we still ask that you either register online or by using the mail-in registration form (see below). Download the mail-in registration form If using the mail-in registration form, you may pay via personal check, payable to “Wavechaser” and include with your registration form, or via Paypal. To submit fees via Paypal, go to PayPal, click “send money” and enter huiwaa_wavechaser@yahoo.com as the recipient. Registration forms and waivers may be mailed via the postal service to the address indicated on the form, or emailed as PDF attachments to Helen Workman.

WAIVERS
All registrations must include a completed Waiver of Liability Form. Waivers may be sent through the postal service (see address on mail-in registration form) or emailed as a PDF attachment to Helen Workman.
